Trump tariff. Ineos Automotive is dead right?

55 k would be nearly twice the potential factory output in Hambach.
Don’t know if they reached the 30 k all over from beginning by now.
A yearly production of 25k would be a dream for Ineos at the moment!
The total production number is around 25k globally from the start to now; currently the factory could produce ~20k units a year, with the option of adding a shift to enter the 30k unit per year production range.

55,000 units a year is both outside the scope of realistic sales and realistic production

The best way for Ineos is insulate themselves from a tariff issue, or any issue, is to start doing some better marketing. Influencers, non traditional, USA promos, events, internet etc. at this point in time not enough people understand the product for them to have any insulation from global issues. If they are doing a good job increasing demand then tariffs aren’t an issue at all.
Let's be real, the best way to avoid tariffs, would be to send a Gold Plated, 'personalized' Grenadier with 1500KG of Au in back to Heir Drumph, stroking/inflating said ego about how as a 'fellow billionaire who also strongly supported Brexit', . /snark

Agree completely. If there is now an oligarchy of tariff bro kings, bribing them may be financially the smartest thing any company or industry can do.

@igpop posted an article from Ineos' VP of Americas. 20k units globally since inception.

"We don’t publicly talk about the sales numbers at this stage of our journey. There are 20,000 Grenadiers already on the road globally, and that’s just since the sales start [in 2023].

For fun I did a search for Grenadiers (new) on cars.com, nationwide. Results were over 550 new grenadiers. I poked around a few to see if they existed on the dealer website and they did but I'm sure there are some errors in those numbers. If that is close to reality then 550 units have been sitting around the lots for months, maybe even a year.

Tariff or no tariff, the problem in the industry has been building. Maybe saturation, maybe fatigue, pent-up demand is over??? Thinking back, if Ineos would have launched sooner, back when there was shortage of cars....oh well, if 'IF's and buts were candy and nuts ....'.
