It just showed up on my Trialmaster. I outlined the scenario in a previous response to my response. ^
Sorry - just saw that. So yeah, $800 in build vs a quoted add price of $4500 - there has to be a misunderstanding. I’ll find out on Monday unless someone else has the chance before then

I inquired about adding the tow package after the fact before knowing my Grenadier had one and told it was "impossible" possible v. $4,500?

Dunno. I am happy the Ineos fates smiled on me.

WAIT!!!!! I found his email and just realized I may have read it wrong.
I believe it may be $1965 total.

Dealer broke it down as follows:
"The wire harness kit for the hitch would be $1965 plus tax. Parts are $1400 and INEOS is saying it will take about 2.5 hours to install."

There are 4 parts involved along with some nuts and bolts.
Wire harness
Trailer control module
Trailer plug bracket
Trailer module bracket.

I added the $1965 to the $1400 and then added 2.5hours labor/tax.
After rereading it I realize $1965 may be the price including everything.

I apologize for the Kerfuffle!

$1965 - that’s still a hell of a markup from $800. Do you already have the hitch? If so, that’s even more surprising. I was sort of expecting in the $750 range if you have the hitch.

I do have the receiver and hitch already. I believe that was $500, and was added before I took possession (I needed it for my bicycle rack). I was also expecting something in the $800 range to add the wiring kit. I'm not towing anything that requires anything beyond lights so the module is overkill. I plan on just adding aftermarket wiring myself at some point for way less money.

Sounds like we have the exact same setup and needs, so let’s see if they give me a similar number on Monday. I added the hitch receiver for my bikes, and would only imagine a light utility trailer, kayak trailer, or small fishing boat for inland species. Not towing a large boat, horse trailer or RV.

Good morning Guys and Gals in the INEOS Grenadier & Quartermaster world with no trailer wiring or hitch. I have a solution to your problem. I now have hitch and as close to a plug and play solution that you can get to….what do you think ?
Hello Oscar
Can you tell me more about your hitch set up.
Do you have a electric harness too,
If so did you install it yourself, or did Mossy.
Our dealer here in Florida insist the harness and computer update is just around the corner, any body has some update on all of this hitch problem
Thanks

Ok - went to the dealer today. The price varies widely - includes receiver, SW flash, EBC module, coil spring upgrades, wiring harness - it all depends on your VIN, whether you have the high load power option (it costs more if you do), how much load you carry, etc - and can run anywhere from just under $2k to $4k +! They even have 6 different options/settings for the coils, based on load. For me (based on my VIN, already have the hitch receiver, don’t need a coil upgrade, and have the high load power), I would probably be looking at $1500-1900. They are not offering a simple 4-pin option (running lights, turn signals, brake lights) for light trailers (kayaks, jon boats etc) for single-axle, sub-3000 lb configs. Honestly, I would just go down to your local trailer shop.
