What is the difference between TOUGHER'S Tough Polycotton fabric versus the 100% Cotton Canvas?
Polycotton is harder wearing than cotton, that is why we began using polycotton fabric first. But some people prefer the cotton because the weave looks and appears harder wearing than the polycotton, but it in fact it isn't. It comes down to personal preference in appearance as it is a thicker weave.
Take a look at the colour swatch image below. The grey and the second light khaki from the top is cotton weave. You can see the difference in weave.

We haven’t yet heard back from the Tougher guys with a response about if their covers are designed to accommodate deployment of these airbags in the seats. M&M‘s covers are designed for deployment.

From the pictures - I would be the Tougher are not designed for airbags

Hi there, across our range we use a sacrificial seam on the airbag side, although completely closed up, a specific thread is used that is designed to rupture in the event of the bags being deployed, much like the seam on the original seat.

I would never try to dissuade anyone from choosing Tougher covers. They do look like remarkably good value and a very high quality too.
If I hadn’t already received my M&M covers, the Tougher version would have been extremely tempting. Ultimately, and with close inspection of the pics available, I still think I made the right choice with M&M.

I was very close on the M&M - but liked the Tougher better - kind of like picking Eldoret Blue over Scottish White; we all need variety!

My Tougher seat covers arrived this morning. Posted in Cape Town last Wednesday and arrived, via fedex, this morning in uk shire.. best of all, not tax had to be paid which was a £70 saving on what I’d expected.. I’ll fit them before Friday and post the result.
