Hi all,

Over the past few days I've noticed and occasional thump or thud from the brakes when barking normally from middle speeds like 35mph (50km/h).

Feels like a thump and then the brakes engages maybe a touch later than normal.
Any idea what may be going on? I'm coming up on my 12k service next month and I won't be driving much the next 3 weeks. Anyone seen or heard something similar?

It's not a very load thump, none of my passengers notice it. But I do as I driven the car a lot and I'm more attuned to it's nuances.

Not brakes but my truck has a harsh 3-2 downshift thunk when slowing for a stop or in traffic. I believe others have reported this behavior with the transmission. Does not happen every time.
