I was told in Seattle that the left hand side is drilled for a grab handle since in the UK it exists. One can buy spare parts and install one.

Yes, but it's not a factory fit to have 2 handles in the front.

To be honest I'll probably fit one myself as well.

Provided there's no reason it's not there (ie airbags or similar), I will will install one.

So there might be holes drilled in the RHS pillar as well? in which case for a RHD vehicle.......

I’m wondering if the omission of grab handle on the A pillars on the drivers side is designed on purpose. Ie putting a grab handle on the drivers side could potentially obstruct the view out of the window in terms of company liability, plus the A pillars are pretty chunky too. I can see why but it’s okay if the owner wishes to fit aftermarket.
