looks pretty solid as a starter battery. This seems like a solid battery.
I am considering adding the redarc alpha 150 as a second battery but if i'm honest i would much prefer to have just one battery and not having to worry about dc-dc chargers etc.

does this mount directly into the primary battery position or does it require some custom brackets.

I wonder what they are the like in sub 0c temperatures. We use Lithium batteries for an off grid location and they don’t perform well in low temperatures maybe LiFePO4 is better ?

Iis this maybe the battery solution for the Grenadier?

This would be great in an older truck that doesn't have a smart alternator, or in something that has a charge regulator that can be adjusted to appropriately match the output curve of the battery.

This is the battery I use as my aux battery, and can confirm that while it is able to be charged by a standard alternator with a SLA/EFB/AGM profile, that is far from ideal for it. Additionally, the alternator output is required to be <150A as the maximum continuous charge the battery can accept is 135A

The DL135+ has a built in heating circuit and is rated down to -20°F or thereabouts

i think all batteries do poorly in freezing weather (they generate electricity through chemical reaction and all chemical reactions are slowed down by cold temperatures). Having said that you can't charge a lithium battery when it is cold, it will damage the battery. The BMS in the dakota lithium batter will stop charging from happening if the battery is cold, activates a heating circuit that is internal to the battery and turn on the charging when it reaches the minimum safe temperature.

seems like a legit battery. i don't know enough about smart alternators and the different charge curves for different battery chemistries to state with confidence how well it will work in a grenadier.
