the Grand Tours

Yesterday I wrote a message to Ineos by Facebook to know if I will see Grenadier on the "Tour de Romandie", this is a Swiss bikecycle race and Ineas has a team.

What does mean the "Grand Tours"  ?  the big roadtrip to test the vehicule or the amazon TV show ?

There are three grand tours.  The Giro D Italia in May, Tour de France in Juky and the Vuelta Espana in September.    INEOS  tends to use the Grenadier for training versus races.  The main reason, the ability to get a bicycle to the racer in short order.  Most of time when a rider needs assistance the mechanic needs to be low to ground to hang out the window or beable to reach up and take the bike off.  The grenadier is too tall.
