Is that a FJ Blue Maxtrax MKII board under the left rear wheel? I'm guessing they needed that to get it on the lift, because it would have surely melted in the fire.

Looks more like a Tred board, but yes it definitely wasn’t there in the fire.

Note to self, buy that fire extinguisher on your to do list.

If you buy the wrong one, you could wreck your Grenadier by using it, as well. Powder extinguishers bring corrosive powder into every single and smallest gap you can think of.

Wondering if they fitted a lithium battery under the back seat. Possibly poor installation? Or just a mechanical default in the battery...

That's a good question, hopefully we'll have some answers as to where it started and what, if any accessories or modifications were done.

They are puddled on the ground. Aluminum has a lower melting point than steel.

And regarding insurance I can only get third party cover in each country I travel in so I take the risk

I mean , has you wife ever tried to break a glass window for you to know she can't? Or perhaps she has a physical issue , I don't know?
My wife would be in boots and all in an accident situation. Elbows , fists , whatever. She's a GP. She's used to blood.

But she is a somewhat fragile person. And her wrists are plagued by arthritis, so she can barely carry 5kg with one hand.

The RescueMe tool is perfect for her for glass breaking, you only need apply pressure against the glass for it to shatter, they are VERY effective, if you have access to an old wreck of a vehicle try it out.
