Steel bumpers

Yes I have no doubt it would. Mind you, a day with a Y in it has an implication to insurance premiums 🤨
We are supposed to report any changes, so does that include the Bison shelf and side baskets, if you install underbody protection or wheels they want to be informed and up your premium. I have heard of insurance wanting to know of you have added winter tyres, I spoke to mine about a previous car and winter tyres, they had to make notes of it and I had to swap ba ck when the weather was warmer
I think we have to go to a specialist in the UK as soon as you start changes from the original build, which is why we are probably in group 50 to start with due to all the stuff available from original build.

Yep I’ve found that if you have any car that is not standard it’s worth going to a specialist.

I’ve had a couple of extensively modified cars that were insured very reasonably with A-plan for example - at far less than was quoted by mainstream insurers. Hundreds or even thousands less.

Elise with a Honda K20
Impreza P1 with 450bhp
RS6 V10 with 730bhp

If you can actually talk to a human being they can judge the risk and come up with a reasonable proposal.

Hah, those were the days. Bought an original Elise and then Ralliart launched the original EVO VI GSR. So within 2 months sold the Elise and went down the EVO route. Had 3 of them - THE consummate track car of the era. Late 90's/early naughties were great - some wonderful choices out there. Wow a V10, remember LeMans teams buying Touereg V10's just for the diesel engine.

Yep same for me - had a few Imprezas and an Evo VI. Always wanted an r33 GTR but never quite got round to it while they were “cheap” and I’m not paying the kind of money they go for nowadays!

One of these ?
