Starlink Mini

I purchased this plug from Amazon. Then ordered the plugs and tool from Agile Off-road. I cut cord in half and installed the plug and attached to the roof plug. Then I put female plug on the 12volt plug left over wire and when I arrive at camp I can then plug cable into each other and a portable battery.(Jackery). Now I have the correct plugs to add lights etc. Since I’m using a magnetic mount I can now use on any vehicle and still use the 12volt cable from Amazon.

Love it, I was just going to do this too, I ordered a spare Starlink cable from Amazon and just need to get the DTP and crimper tool.

I have a Weboost that I moved from my previous Land Cruiser to my Trialmaster. I designed a custom mounting plate that was fabricated by my nephew to bolt it to the top track of the rear Rhino Cross Bar. I ran the antenna cable down along vertical weather strip of the left door. I placed the unit inside the plastic box outside the jack storage box and plugged the power plug into the cigarette receptacle. I ran the interior antenna cable under floor mats up to the front dash and attached the receiver antenna on the front dash.
Let me know if you want photos of my install that didn’t require any drilling etc.
It’s working good enough since I already had the unit and it was purchased prior to the Starlink mobile option. But as stated it only works when there’s a cell signal.
I think that the Starlink system is the better option and I will go to it eventually probably.

You can remove at least one section of your antenna, the antenna is omni-directional and doesn't need that height above the vehicle for good reception. Just in case...hahaha

Starlink has a new Roam plan available now, 10GB a month (for existing users) at an ok rate.

This roaming plan might be very useful just to cover a Starlink service on the vehicle’s roof when mobile (cell) phone coverage isn’t available between towns for long drives.

Mini on the roof with this plan could be a great match.

edit: Country specific possibly, as I see Aus, and USA have a 10 GB plan, with UK possibly a 20GB plan.

I use the striker mount on my bison rack and it is great. like really great. had it on the top of my roof for a few months now.
I started with the DVA wiring but it was glitchy. Didn't want to wait for a replacement so I bought an outdoor starlink mini to cigarette lighter plug wire on amazon for not so much money, cut off the cigarette lighter and crimped on the DTP connecter. Works really well. Been on my roof for months now.
