And you’ve brainwashed my youngest daughter with Bluey and so she’s doing the exact same thing. Plus she started calling me “Toots” like a gangster from the 40’s. None of this is helping.
Wait for the Aussie accent...
Don't forget you gave us the Muppets and there are still people sounding like Kermit:ROFLMAO:

I love all of the American parents complaining their kids are sprouting new words and talking in strange accents etc etc, like that hasn’t been happening to us in Australia since the 1960’s when we got the telly.

You poor darlings. 😂😂😂😂😂

I also love it how Tazzie can crack a word out like Bonza and you guys still think that’s part of our current vocabulary.

Strewth, blimey and wowza that’s bonza diggeer. 😉

I do love Bluey though, a much finer export than either the Wiggles or Steve Irwin I reckon.

Oh, and here’s one of our City Cats (dogs) dressed up as Bluey and Bingo running along the Brisbane River. We took my granddaughter on a Bluey ride last weekend.

Don’t you all dress like Crocodile Dundee and say “crikey” first thing in the morning before you crack out the didgeridoo? I might have been misinformed.

The didge is only here to beat off the big Roos walking down the street and the drop bears in the bush
Bonus is the didge also sounds undoubtably Australian

In Australia some of the highest paid industries is in the mines and tradies get paid extremely well.
Here is a current job for an electrician on a 2:1 FIFO(Fly In Fly Out) roster
The work is 14 days on 10-12 hour a day then 7 days off.
Accomodation, meals etc are all provided on site and are very good quality.
Gyms, pools etc
$6,000 a week is plus 12.5% super minimum plus any other site allowances
This is the type of person who would probably be happy to buy a 70 series Toyota and spend another $100,000 on doing it up.
Probably also own a boat.
They aren't looking for exclusivity or luxury. Probably the opposite.
Hard to compare against the other guys if you have something completely different.
You want the same but better.
Also customers for the Grenadier or more likely the Quartermaster Cab Chassis

My theory is that Aussie slang is just one big conspiracy- you guys randomly make stuff up and pretend to understand one another, just to mess with our heads.
wait til they start really spruiking like some old sook poli.

Good god, what's happened to the screen layout? Am I the only one for whom the page is displaying like it's from 1996 with a bad connection?

Looks like the host of the bulletin board software had issues. Seems fixed now.
