As title says has anyone in the UK done any of the sgl adventure tours? If so what's your thoughts on them ?

I’ve not been out on one of their tours, but have been out with Adam many times before he set up SGL.

He knows what he’s doing and plans some great routes, I’ve done gentle days laning in the Peaks him, challenging weekends in Wales (including Strata Florida and Bastard Lane in a Freelander 2) and long days in Yorkshire with him.

Unlike some providers he’ll make sure you stay the right side of the law at all times. He won’t take you into a SSSI quarry for instance “just because everyone does it”, and if a lane is susceptible to damage in certain weather conditions he’ll bypass it rather than using it as an excuse to churn it up and risk getting it closed.

Oh, and he has had a Grenadier out on at least one of his trips. So maybe they’re on here and can give comment on one of his paid tours.

It does look good , would conside the Scottish border ones , but won't be for while as I'd need tents etc . Closest thing to green laning living in Scotland

He has run a green laning tour in Scotland. He managed to find a whole load of unsurfaced public roads, confirming them all with the relevant councils that they’re not privately owned and that anyone can drive them.

I’m keeping an eye on his upcoming trips, wanting to go on a short one in the Grenadier, but for the long ones would use my Land Rover 127 ex-ambulance that’s now a camper.

I know there's a group in Scotland that's pretty much the green lane association but it's only for land rovers.

One in Scotland would be good , a days trip would be good also , wouldn't need as much gear

I managed to grab a last minute spot on SGL’s Yorkshire green laning trip over the weekend, a cracking day with a mix of long easy lanes and some that are a bit more technical (although nothing that made the Grenadier sweat).

Although it was my first trip with Adam on a paid trip, it was just as I’ve described in my earlier posts.
