What about ARB 3/4 length (1835 x 1445) with cross rails. That's the one I want. In Australia.
I want the spine mounting system. What about ARB 3/4 length (1835 x 1445) with cross rails.
It looks a very low profile but is 145mm narrower than the rhino 3/4.
BASE Rack | Sizes
A revolutionary low-profile, lightweight, versatile aluminium roof rack. Wide range of quick release accessories, interchangeable guard rails available.www.arb.com.au
ARB base rack is fully welded Tazzie, you’d be getting better rigidity from the rack.I want the spine mounting system.
Have you asked if you can?Wish we got that option in the UK - would have been great with safari windows
Do you mean the rails running lenght ways?I want the spine mounting system.
YepDo you mean the rails running lenght ways?
At first blush the ARB seems to have a lot of things going for it:
The bars were designed with this sort of thing in mind. What’s not to like from the Swiss . airline bars following through on the Grens side fixing bars, height only 30mm above roof, 250kg per unit and resting on the grab handles (not sure how they got to this weight figure). But look like the bars were designed with this in mind. Lovely
Just an FYI - the product page describes the 250kg rating as the static rating for each panel. It would be nice if they listed the dynamic rating. The bars were designed with this sort of thing in mind.
You need to be careful of the 250kg per panel as you still can't exceed the total dynamic 150kg and static 420kg from Ineos spread evenly over the roof.
They look good though.
Tim, the Ineos technical guy at the MD test drive event, said optioning a roof rack is one configuration that affects the factory spring selection. He said the roof rack gets stiffer springs. Also, the rack feet seem significantly different from Rhino's typical offering. For these reasons I specified it on my pre-order.For the US - you are better off waiting. The current full rack is more expensive than what RINO sells the racks for - and they have an additional 15% off when you join their email list. Ineos - they learned it from Porsche - is charge a premium for every accessory above the market price....
