That has always been his goal. Every time I commented on his YouTube or instagram he would respond in kind with “once they have a Ute available…”

If the modules were relays, relays only fail rarely according to my accessories installer. He had a Tyco relay fail and Tyco asked for it to be shipped to the Head Office so they could study it, because failures were so rare.

Maybe there is a quality issue with INEOS' module supplier. Two owners here both with module problems with cars built around the same time.

I will be at XHQ all day Wednesday 23 May, if you pick it up that day.

Note for INEOS, get some of those modules shipped to the Melbourne Warehouse for spares.
Apparently it’s a bad infotainment screen causing the issues. Ric let me know this morning to come pick it up Friday. He said if they don’t get a new one in from Ineos he’ll rip one off a car in the lot to get me driving.

Cab Chassis version with a lift and GVM upgrade to 4.25T
I have a feeling 4.2 may be a bridge too far due to the front axle load capacity(?). If you were going to tow that weight, maybe the Grenadier isn't for you. But for sheer load carrying 3850 kgs would be perfect. I drive a 79 with a GVM of 4.2 and its stupidity over loaded and you wouldn't go over anything other than a gravel rd let alone sand or mud.

3850 is already available with just a spring shock upgrade.
4T should be pretty easy.

Yes it should. The thing is it doesn't change the GCM so there is a caveat on any GVM upgrade. You still can't (legally tow more than 3.5t which is why most do an upgrade.

I agree, 4.2t is too much for a vehicle this size. 3850kg to 3900kg would be a good GVM for a Quartermaster not excessively heavy to be too sketchy off road and still low enough to keep the maintenance costs in control. Most people do not factor in the extra maintenance when constantly running at increased gvm, particularly the front wheel bearing lubricants, transmission and t/case oils that will require more servicing. 3900kg would be the limit I would go on a Grenadier like a LC79 anything after that I would seriously be considering a small 4x4 truck with larger diffs, axles and transfer case.

Ronny's Grenadier in at the workshop today.
We were discussing the mounting of the Xspec pods in our WA watsapp group and one of the members took these photos

Doesn't INEOS own the vehicle. I thought it was a long term loaner - which I find appalling to be honest. Most of these influencers do more damage to the product than benefit it!

I am not saying Mr Dahl is damaging the product, he seems to be very pro.

However, I don't understand why he has a long term loan, when people can't get their vehicles repaired.

INEOS, need to rectify the build problems.

I think it is the first long term loan in Australia and we also don't seem to have the same issues that early adopters in UK and europe have.
So in reality 1-2 press vehicles in Australia have a very limited impact globally.
I think Ineos Australia said they currently have about 40 loan vehicles around dealers for support.

I do understand that Australia is a huge market for the Grenadier. Plus, the real positive for the market, is that Australian companies are developing aftermarket products for the vehicle. This is where Rhony does an excellent job.

Before I discovered other Aussie YouTubers, I watched his series on his HiLux development which was enlightening, especially with his positive attitude.

It is a Ineos owned vehicle on a 6 month loan.
I'm sure there is a written agreement re damage.
Not sure what them loaning a Grenadier to him has to do with owners not getting repairs though?

I'm driving one at the moment, Justin Hocevar said to do whatever you want with it as in klms and usage.

Towing weight might actually reduce load on front axle.
