No disrespect Ozy, but that statement perpetuates complete internet BS.

Take a look at the Rhino gutter attachment points. Bulletproof. If far exceeds the basic LR Series and Defender gutters, which have been reliably abused and overloaded for decades.
Correct. Rhino worked with INEOS to get the roof rack anchor points correct. If you look closely the system used by Rhino is very close to the most inner part of the gutter. I had the dealer take me through all of this.

The Rhino Pioneer Platform is attached as well on the Grenadier as it was on my Patrol (or very close). The Patrol's Pioneer platform stayed on the car roof after a head on collision, with combined speed of 150-180kph. It did move forward, but 5 of the 6 anchor points were still in the gutter, the other one was out but due to deformation of the car's A pillar. The solar panel mounted on the platform was not even broken.

Just keep within load limits, static and stationary.

I am not interesting in crash testing the Pioneer on the Grenadier. :)

Do you understand the difference with dynamic (ie. off road use) against static load? Take a closer look at the Grenadiers roof structure how its manufactured.

Majority of rack manufacturers don't consider the Grenadiers unique flat and wide roof.
Rhino offers a mounting plate to fix to Grenadiers roof frame (not the gutter)..
Others are;
* Leitner Roof Racks USA [mounting brackets bolted to roof structure not gutter]
* BLACK SHEEP Switzerland roof racks another example.

This dead horse has been flogged many a time on this forum. I believe the backbone brackets attached are not a Rhino-Rack product but developed independently by Taubenreuther, Gren-X has a very similar product in the Aus market. Each to their own, there are many great roof-rack options available, all I knows is if the Rhino-Rack bars I purchased with my Grenadier cause grief to my vehicle Ineos will be picking up the tab not a third party based in Corona California or Reichenburg Switzerland and I am comfortable with that.

Just as an asside; I've used a Front Runner 3/4 for the past year ; used on rough roads and maximally loaded with a tent/gear or heavy timber - so far no ill effects at all. Gutter remains nice and straight.
However for extra support I've used foam padded rectangular alloy pieces as additional roof support.

I have a Grenx 1800 rack which is clear of the safari windows and fixes to the grab handles. It is the lowest I could find, basically sitting on the roof rails so that they take some load. It's super difficult to book high vehicle space of Spirit of Tasmania now and we will suffer that for two more years or so. So it was important for me to keep below 2.1m and the Grenx solution is the only one that I could find that achieves that.

Fixing to the load bars is a theoretical improvement, which under an honest assessment, falls short of the Rhino full rack gutter brackets. It is not entirely without merit, certainly has marketing value, but has not been subjected to engineering validation or crash testing (to my knowledge).

I'm very pleased with the Ineos supplied Rhino Rack - but unfortunately the UK Distributor, TBR Accessories, seems to have ceased trading. Does anyone else know a UK retailer for genuine accessories - I'm thinking a Ski Carrier. Many thanks

It does but i think I also need an 'Accessory Bar' to fit teh ski carrier to the Ineos' Pioneer Platform.
I bought the Rhino Rack ski carrier attachment from my Ineos dealer in Chicago to go on the RR Reconn deck bars (also purchased from the dealer). Have literally never taken it out of the box - because I hated the RR bars so much. Anyone who wants the ski carrier is welcome to it (but it’s not really worth shipping overseas). Hell, you can take the deck bars and LED bar as well. I switched out to Leitner bars and a spare-mounted ski/snowboard carrier (Gringo by Fabbri, out of Italy). This has just been a more streamlined solution for me (and addresses the wind noise).

I do get a chuckle out of the picture on the box - trying to imagine someone running around with their Winston’s or Hardy’s up top like that makes my blood pressure spike.
