Retractable Side Boards

Hi Guys,
I'm new to the whole 4 x 4 experience so please excuse me if I have lame questions.
I've just taken delivery of a Fieldmaster and aside for the clunky informtainment and steering, I am absoultely pleased with the vehicle!
However, I would like to ask if anyone has had the need to install or investigated retractable side boards? Mainly due to difficulties for my wife to enter or exit the vehicle. (Hip surgery)
I'm not looking to do much hard core offroading but in the meantime accessing vehicle is important.
I have seen some aftermarket applications but would like to hear if anyone has any thoughts.

OK, got them installed. They work fine, step is lower and easier to climb in to seat now. Wiring harness threaded behind ODB port, well concealed. The motors are reasonably tucked under. This is not an easy install and the supplied instruction manual is very rudimentary, they need to improve...
