Repair - Spare parts Lead times and availability

Just spoke to Dave, what a gentleman. No problem at all to get exploded parts diagrams and all part numbers. I’ll make sure the workshop order the parts through then so they get the business. Thanks for your help CC, good man.
Fingers crossed, it runs smoothly, and you get back on the road soon.

They seem to be a lot more in UK
Make sure you’re getting a quote for ONLY the rear rails - one member of the forum asked the Atlanta dealer and I think got a quote for $800 - but the dealer misunderstood and was quoting the price to completely replace all of the bump rails, not just the ones in back. The price I gave you was the price I paid - and both the Chicago and Boise dealers quoted the same price to me. It takes less than 2 minutes to swap out the rails. I needed the rear utility rails as a mount point for the Leitner Sidekick (rear MOLLE panel). Multiple members in the US have now done the same thing and we’re all paying the same price - I doubt there’s a significant difference in the UK - probably just the same misunderstanding as the member in Atlanta. We’re calling this “the mullet configuration.” Business in front, party in the back.

I didn’t ask for a quote. I seem to remember a UK member paying around £230.00 for the rear only.
That's not too bad, I'm sure I was told more but that was early on. Might ask him about the aux battery. I have found some pics of the wiring so I think I might be able to do it but obviously with something this valuable I'm a bit wary of titing it up.
I did have a look at the power bank as you suggested but not sure if they will fit in area beneath the seats and nobody has them in stock to check.

I don’t know why you guys have a higher price - either you’re getting a poshy British version or you’re paying tax for your incredibly competent and efficient government.
I think it was the original Highlander film where the hot dog seller was reading the papers and asking the detective what 'incompetent' meant plus other criticisms of the police force, some clever person needs to re-edit to put in our PM

Ok - now I have to go back and watch that again - zero recollection on that

That's rich from a country that has fucked up the world and Europe now suffers the consequences of immigration from Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and Syria. I would suggest it might have been better to have left Hussein and Gaddafi in place.

I don’t know - seems efficient to me. We screw it up and screw it up quickly - and on a grand scale. That takes care of the efficiency bit. And given the nearly 100% success rate in screwing it up, clearly there’s intentionality at work, so that takes care of the competency bit. The fact that humanity doesn’t like the outcome - well, that’s an unfortunate little detail.
