Nickel for any one (probably from the US) can tell me where I got that number? NO GOOLING! (FWIW I'm 46 and it's from when I was a kid)
A rap song, I think? I am older than you. 867-5309 was the number that was on the radio for my generation.

On the right track...

Tommy Tutone - love it! I went to college in a town where 867 was actually an exchange. Apparently it got to the point where they simply disconnected and did not reassign 867-5309.

The Chinese seem to struggle with naming these vehicles... BAIC BJ80... what a mouthful!

Can't wait for the C.U.N.T.co BJ 2 N1TE
There were some great ship names from the eastern owners, one was the MV BJ Queen, we all try and work that one and also the HK registered vsls all prefixed with Titan, and named after planets, MT Titan Jupiter, Titan Mars (can you see where I'm going woth this yet...)

Hi.

Sorry if this was already discussed. Could not find it.

I picked the Trialmaster as I did not want alloys, leather seats and carpet, which was fixed for the Fieldmaster back then.

So I end up with the raised intake, which I probably never need and therefore plan to remove them and put aside. Side cover and 2 little ones on the A beam should be replacement parts easy to get or print or cnc myself.

What I found at a prototype at my local dealer though is that in case of no raised air intake the air is not taken in from that side panel, but somewhere unter to hood. Meaning, I would also have to purchase / make some sort of switch point for the intake.

Has someone else checked that out / has more details on it?

Cheers

Timo
Why not just keep the raised air intake.
Seems like a lot of work to remove it for no gain

Let‘s see.

Just not a big fan of carrying stuff around that I do not need.

I would have suggested the same. I also ordered a Trialmaster and would not have needed RAI. But if it's on, it stays on. It doesn't do any harm.

I've run two vehicles with RAIs, both on the passenger A pillar. My usual co-pilot would always complain of the induction noise, especially so if the window was open. Then there's the debate over fuel economy/performance . A trusted independent tuner ran tests and concluded that it did indeed have a negative impact.

How about 867-5309? (No area code needed for this classic)

Thanks, much better, could view it, still don't understand enough, but back in my youth! 1982, ... (y) :p
He's singing to a girl - Jenny - whose number he saw on a wall. Her number is 867-5309 (a number carved into the brains of almost every kid growing up in the 1980s in the States). Just a silly song, but absolutely unforgettable :)

Jenny Jenny who can I turn to?
You give me something I can hold on to
I know you'll think I'm like the others before
Who saw your name and number on the wall

Jenny I've got your number
I need to make you mine
Jenny don't change your number
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine

Jenny Jenny you're the girl for me
Oh, you don't know me but you make me so happy
I tried to call you before but I lost my nerve
I tried my imagination but I was disturbed

Jenny I've got your number
I need to make you mine
Jenny don't change your number
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine

I got it (I got it) I got it
I got your number on the wall
I got it (I got it) I got it
For a good time, for a good time call

Hey, Jenny don't change your number
I need to make you mine
Jenny I've called your number
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine

Jenny Jenny who can I turn to
(Eight six seven five three oh nine)

For the price of a dime I can always turn to you
(Eight six seven five three oh nine)
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine
Eight six seven five three oh nine (five three oh nine)
Eight six seven five three oh nine (five three oh nine)
Eight six seven five three oh nine (five three oh nine)
Eight six seven five three oh nine (five three oh nine)
