Purchased my brand new 2024 Grenadier on Saturday 10-12 2024. Took it in to Grenadier service on Monday 10-14-2024.. Remote lock and unlock not working. As of today 10-23-2024. I still do not have it back from dealership service. I had my $83,000.00 Grenadier for a total of 42 hours. Before it went to Grenadier service. They are still working on it.

Is this happening with both remotes?

Is the battery in the remotes flat? I had to change one of my remote batteries shortly after delivery.

It is easy to accidentally press the remote buttons, and I can see how a battery goes flat quickly.

I had the rear doors locking mechanism replaced on mine at the dealer.
They took one off a demo vehicle to put on mine.
Took about 2 hours.

Very common experience for new owners find they wont remote lock due to the bonnet being slightly open (even though you would swear it was closed), but a dealer would know of this one.

Thank You All, for the suggestions. All of the suggested issues, have been checked. When you drive the vehicle, stop and go. They work perfectly.
When the vehicle sits for an hour or two. Or overnight. Then, BOTH REMOTES, do not work. Only way to get into the car, is with the key in the door.
And it only unlocks, the drivers door. All the other doors, have to be unlocked from the inside.
Then of course, you cannot relock the car. And Yes. The first thing I did was put in both remotes, new batteries.

Did you try making any adjustments in the "Settings" pane? I wish we could have the key only unlock the driver's door. The Mrs. would prefer it for security reasons when alone. Using a key on ours unlocks everything but also re-locks everything. The only thing the key won't do is turn on the alarm. I doubt it would be possible to steal a Grenadier without the fob even if it was unlocked - discounting a flatbed of course.

Yes. I tried everything that I could do. Now the dealer has had it for 11 days. Looking at what they can do.

Most of the time I must use my key to lock and unlock the doors. Intermittently I can use the fob to unlock the car. I put in a new battery and its the same issues. Is anyone else having these issues?

Remote Lock / Unlock. Still not working correctly. December 10, 2024
Taking my Grenadier back to the dealership tomorrow, AGAIN.
In the last 2 months. The lock / unlock remote, stopped working 3 times.
Today at the gas station. I found out. That when the vehicle will not unlock. That means that the gas fill door is not unlocked.
SO. How do I get to put some gas in it?
So, MY / THE SAGA CONTINUES.

YES. I am. From the second day of ownership.

I have found that if any of the doors are shut properly or hard enough it wont lock up. next time go around and open and slam each door and see if it will now start. my rear doors seem to be the worst about it.

I had the problem of not being able to lock the car. Issue was that I didn't close the hood firmly enough.

However unlocking has never been a problem.

OP: Is it possible that the batteries are low? Low voltage seems to trigger all kinds of weird issues.

I know after I picked up my grenadier and drove over 150 miles to get home, I was at 64% charge (according to the vehicle diagnostics). It took @2 days on a 5amp NOCO tender to get the batteries up to 98%

“Normal” daily driver mileage wasn’t enough in my case, >50 miles

A regular maintenance charge with a good smart charger is a good thing in my view even if it isn’t the cause of the central locking issues.

The reason could be they did a software update but didn’t involve the keys in it. That’s the reason if the dealer tells you to come in for an update that you need to bring the two keys with you.

Thank You all for your comments.
I have tried. And the service techs have already tried all of your suggestions.
Today, Dec. 11, 2024. I'm on my way back to the dealership, to drop it off AGAIN. They will try AGAIN, to see if they can find the issue.

Sounds very frustrating & that you have tried many fixes. Contrary to what some (well just one member who complained to the boss on me) think, I hate to hear of anyone having any issues with their Grenadier. Hopefully the dealership can find the cure without needing to get new keys made and reprogramming the transponder chip (maybe that will be the thing that works 🤷‍♂️). Regardless good luck @Sterling silver 🙏
