In case you dont see this in our Vendor thread, I tried to post this in the appropriate location on the forum as well. Cheers!

We are proud to introduce another awesome accessory for your Ineos Grenadier, our Rear Door Accessory Mount! This mount required no modification to your rig, and mounts in the same spot as the factory ladder. This is a great add-on to your Grenadier if you do not have the rear ladder, and are looking for a great place to mount a variety of accessories. We designed the mount to be as low profile as possible so accessories like Rotopax and Propane tanks do not stick out past the spare tire. The mount is constructed of .125 Stainless Steel, with a durable Textured black powder finish. The Mount comes with a standard Rotopax Mounting pattern that can accept just about any Rotopax accessory, or other mounts (like our propane mount) that have that same pattern. The kit comes with spacers, specifically sized for each mounting hole. The spacers allow the mounting bracket to sit on the spacers , and not crush the rear door plastic panels or body on the bottom of the door. Included with the spacers for the mounting holes is a series of rubber O-rings to insure a proper fit to the factory mounting locations.
*ROTOPAX MOUNT NOT INCLUDED*
SPECS:
Material - .125 Stainless Steel / ASA UV Rated Polymer for the spacers
Finish – Textured Black Powder Coat
Hardware – Stainless M8 BH Screws, SS washers, Oil-Resistant Buna-N O-Ring

Any plans to broaden the idea of this to mount jerry cans or such? I'd love something like this that direct mounts rather than needing a ladder.

Any update on this? Have you tried a jerry can on this mount?

20l/5gallons seems a bit heavy. The LeTec ladder that also hods a full jerry uses all six mount points for the OEM ladder. I think they said 30-35 lbs when I asked for an estimate. 5 gallons would be just shy of 42 lbs. plus the can. I'm considering a 3 gallon Rotopax or the largest Overland Fuel can that will fit.

I received the GP mount and a NATO can but waiting on the NATO mount. I’m going to start with one can and then order a mount for two cans. I don’t see a worry about weight. That ladder is designed to hold a full size man. The fuel will weigh 60 pounds and add another 30 pounds for tanks and mounts. 90 pounds doesn’t seem all the much for mounting points for a ladder.

They might suggest that because you still have to add in the load of a person on the ladder.

Static load is different than than dynamic. Heck, you can climb all over the ladder with only the ladder door shut and the spare door open - but not while moving. Additionally the ladder is made from tubing and is very stiff but there's no gusseting on the GP mount. It is slightly flexible and the mounting bolts are small. The spacers are not integral to the bracket (though tightly drilled) introducing a second fastener failure point. I'm not saying the mount is made poorly or sub-standard. Not at all!. I think it's great. I would just be leery of mounting heavy items to it and then running thousands of miles of rough roads. If you never suffer any issues then fantastic!(y) I'm happy to find out I'm just overly cautious.

Another ladder mounted jerry can holder in this thread...

Static and dynamic are very different but 90 pounds vs 330 is also very different. I’ll give it a try. Absolute worst case is that I need a new rear door at some point.

The best tires can generally achieve about 1.5g in lateral acceleration, which represents a 0-60mph time of two seconds. From that and my experience in engineering, I'd be comfortable with reducing the 150kg static load rating on the ladder to 100kg in any non-impact scenarios. Take another third off of that to reflect using four mounts instead of the full six and you're at 67kg dynamic, or 147lb, capacity for the mount and attachments. You could cut that down to 50kg for some additional conservatism if you want, reflecting a dynamic amplification factor of 2 instead of 1.5.

That C4 dual jerry mount has 21lb of steel involved, and two full jerry cans weigh 80lb, plus 10lb for a strap and hardware and such, for a sum of 110lb - right at the conservative DAF of 2. I don't see an issue with the weight.

I have some ideas floating around about an aluminum pseudo-ladder. Tie in to all six mounting locations, have a dual jerry mount at the bottom, then options for mounting a shovel or high-lift vertically on the outside runner and a propane tank or small shovel on the inside runner above the jerrys. You'd probably have 50-100lb of payload after the jerry cans - plenty for a 30lb high lift and a propane can.
