This thread will be for my build of QM. I look to share ideas and also ask other forum memebers to share ideas or solutions.

I have named the thread Quarterdeck after the military term used for area where senior officers work. Since I will be the captain of my ship, I will live and work in Quarterdeck.

Wolfbox: the rear view camera can be found in tailgate. Plus their is no obstruction in the rear window. But I will be installing an a rear camera when I have the back fully covered. If you get the G900 Pro kit, it comes with a rear plate mounting kit. It an only be used on USA plates https://wolfbox.com/products/wolfbox-g900-4k-2-5k-touch-screen-parking-monitoring-dash-cam

Step plates for rear bumper: I was rewatching the powerful UK video on the QM and Simon pointed out that the rear bumper could use some step plates for those times you need to step on the bumper. Found these for the SW but bumper is shared with the QM.

I believe the centre of the rear bumper is steel. What Simon was referring to in his video is some kind of non slip attachments on top of the bumper. Might try self adhesive non slip tape if needed.

It's not that slippery. I've used it often with work/hiking boots.
But you could add grip tape.
The checkerplate thingoes wouldn't improve grip and at that price...yikes!
 
It's been a year since I started this thread but it is time to get it going.

This week started the build process and I will post pictures soon. On Monday, I added Wildpeak 255/80R17 to the OEM steel wheels. I took the advice and had them place the sticky weights to back rim to keep a clean look. Then on Thursday, the RadFlo shocks were added. I had a speciality shop install as I wanted a alignment done since I had new vehicle, new tires and or course new shocks. PXL_20250424_233657374.MP.jpg

You can see the QM was way off and I still drove fine. Once they adjusted it, it excelled.

I'll give more feedback on Radflo as I get more seat time but initial impression is good. The suspension shop does work on high end vehicles and asked me a ton of questions on how I plan on using the truck. What plan to carry, how often, etc. The set up was for general use so the shocks soak up the bumps on highway and even long speed bumps at 30mph. The shop also increased my tire pressure to 49 in rear and 40 in the front. When they explained it, I expected a stiff/harsh ride with E rated tires and a light truck. While the SW comes in a 7k pounds, my Quartermaster is only 5960. Not skinny but not bloated. The ride is super smooth and not harsh at all. Driving characteristics, very little body roll and no dive in front when hard braking or front lifting on hard acceleration.

I plan doing some interior work this weekend, with American size slurpee upgrade, tougher seat covers and other bits and bobs.

FWIW, those pressures are intended for 4270lbs on the front axle and 5070lbs on the rear axle; or a combined 9340lbs; especially on the rear I'd recommend either doing a chalk test across the tread or watch the tire wear over the next few thousand miles.

Will do, the alignment shop has me come in for free every 4k for them to look at wear. No cost no appointment, show up and they check to make sure the alignment is all good and wear on tire is in good shape. Thanks for sending the chart.
