Production halted

I just had this article pop up when I opened google. Whoah…this is really concerning that a minor supplier could shut down production for 3 months.

I wonder what this does to MY25 vehicles, orders, and delivery times. Also wondering if we’ll see advertising decrease if there’s no production to market. Their US advertising seemed to just be getting started

Several other threads have the conversation going already....

But there are plenty of vehicles either on dealer lots in the US or at the ports/en route to keep us going stateside for quite some time

I don’t know how bankruptcies work in Germany but if Recaro is being allowed to self administer, there must be some very hopeful signs that the company will continue.

Keep in mind it is a separate company using the Recaro name under license.
Often companies go into administration so they can restructure, get out of supply contracts, re-negotiate with suppliers, or even break leases on buildings etc.
As they have lost significant business with VW group they possibly still have supply contracts and production facilities in place tat they will no longer need.
