Wow. That looks good. Ready to take over from the Landcruiser double cab pick up 😍
Lots of dual cab utes with tubs sold in Australia but for work and offroad the cab/chassis or tray back is most popular.
Often the tub is removed for a canopy to go on and sometimes the tub even gets a second life

Agree Dave - its looks really nice & I reckon the single & double cab versions will outsell station wagon in Australia by multiples in Australia, although there will be much more competition in this segment of the market - so the price point will be more critical.

The front seems identical to station wagon; A & B pillars the same and obviously C pillar and rear door different as wheel base extended.

Are there are specifications available?

Not that I have seen other than it will be based on the Utility version with the more upright back seats.

Has anyone else besides me approached INEOS as an interested person for the pickup?
Wasn't there an option to register your interest in a pickup variant on the Ineos homepage a while back? I'm sure I clicked on something saying I would be interested, or was that just a daydream?

I’ve owned 4 different pickups - 3 were dual/crew cab - and enjoyed them all. But 4-door American pickups look complete, like they were designed from day 1 to look proper and proportional. The IG Ute looks odd to me, like someone just took the station wagon and hacked a chunk out. I feel the same way about the Honda Ridgeline. It’s a Pilot with a bit chopped off.

That said, I’m sure it will perform great and be a huge hit in Oz and elsewhere, but it’s not my cup of tea. I won’t regret not waiting for it.

I have a really bad habit of changing cars every three or so years through boredom from having to settle for what is out there that i can affoard.
I am hoping the Grenadier will change this as it ticks all the boxes for me.
But it is good to know that if i want a change in the next 3/4/5 years i can get a dual cab ute that i actually like.
