EDIT: I don't know what happened but the list got buggered up.. Rewrote it.

I've had my grenadier for almost 11 months. I originally wasn't planning to do that much to it but i got the modding bug sometime in august of 24 as i crossed a mountain and buggered up my sidesteps and realized i needed underbody protection and sliders.
This is what i've done to my Grenadier:

Lights
  • Baja XLR-80's in grille from agile off-road
  • Triple-R linear lightbar on roof rack
  • Leitner backup lights bracket
  • Baja s2 backup/working lights
  • ARB working lights on side of roof (being upgraded to the strands LED from Europe)
  • Stedi 12" light bar on rear roof rack as working light
  • Custom touch dimmer for roof rack working lights (I designed and built it)
  • Ineos forum 3D printed light shroud for reverse lights
Tires/suspension
  • Factory alloys w 285/70/R18 wranglers, and a set of KO2 on factory steelies for off-road.
  • GP factor bumper and hidden winch
  • Agile off-road fox steering damper
Protection
  • Dissent off-road sliders
  • Rival underbody protection (full set)
  • PPF on hood and front quarter panels
  • Exoshield on windshield
  • Hi lift on rear ladder w. design build go mount
  • Cyclone pre-cleaner from ineos for desert driving
  • Headlight and taillight protection
  • Dakar sticker to fight off bad ju-ju :)
Storage
  • Bison gear roof rack and molle side panels
  • Bison gear Jerry can mounts
  • Jerry cans on side molle
  • Front Runner water can on side molle
  • Fiskars axe on side molle
  • 5lbs propane tank on side window molle mount
  • Alubox on roof rack
Communications/audio
  • Starlink mini on roof rack in a strikerfab mount
  • Weboost cell phone booster w. folding antenna
  • 50W GMRS base radio with big aerial antenna and short antenna (i changed them depending if i park in a parking garage or not)
  • a couple of handheld radios in the trunk
  • Audiofrog speakers in all doors
  • Tweeters in A pillars
  • Hertz sealed sub in trunk
  • JL audio amplifiers full dsp, one amp per element 9 channel setup
  • Sub controller next to the steering column
  • Sound deading in all doors and trunk
  • Victron battery monitor

Visibility/convinience
  • Rosen Sunvisor
  • Wolfbox G900 mirror
  • Suma performance mirrors for more blindspot coverage
  • Ineos driver's side A pillar grab handle
  • Tougher khaki seat covers
  • GrenadierUSA cup holders and cover
  • Amazon no-name silicon tray behind the center display
  • 25% ceramic tint on front side windows
  • 60% ceramic tint on safari windows
  • Ultimate9 throttle controller
  • Agile off-road cell phone mount
  • Bulletpoint cell phone holder
  • GreandierUSA cup holders and aluminum cover
Storage
  • Bison gear interior trunk shelf
  • Bison gear side containers for trunk
  • Bison gear molle for rear windows
  • Bison gear fold down molle for seat back
  • Diabolical drawers (on the way)
  • Alubox boxes in trunk.
  • Blacksmith Australia made trasharoo bag

To be done
  • Recovery board mount. I am changing the mount to a roof rack. used to have them on the ladder.
  • GP factor redarc DC-DC bracket Lithium second battery (I'm thinking redarc)
  • Solar panels up on top, maybe on the Alubox, maybe the Agile offroad ones. haven't decided.
  • PPF on rear quarter panels and rear door. I only did the front quarter panels but I should do it all.
  • Interior sleeping pad. I'm thinking exped megamat but haven't decided.
  • Maybe a tilting slider for my fridge (although i don't know if i will love that if i sleep in the trunk. Need to think about it.

On the fence....
  • Supra shifter knob. Pure aesthetic. I'd do it if I'm bored and need a project... Likely not.
  • Lift kit. There are too many stories about drive shaft failures for me to feel comfortable with it. And i really don't drive my car on rocks that much.
  • Swaybar disconnects. I hear people tell me its a pain to get them back once disconnected. Probably not.
  • New shocks. If the drive experience is greatly improved then i would probably do it. King or fox is what i'm considering. Would like to drive an unlifted grenadier with them on first though.

Maybe also:
-DAKAR sticker;
-Goodyear Wrangler tyres (tires to you);
-Hi Lift Jack Bracket on rear ladder;
-Hi Lift jack;
-guards on front and rear lights;
-side Jerry can brackets and Jerry cans;
-left side of car looks like a mounted water container maybe;
-the aerial on the roofrack (with collapsible arm) and the headunit;
-B in the heading, Pars Build confused me for a second or two.

Nice build so far.

Good looking rig!

I had the same Dakar sticker on my FJ until they sold their soul to Saudi Arabia. 🤬

How are the sliders holding up? I've been waiting on mine forever. 16 weeks tomorrow. Again... 🤬

Looks great!

The best of list in my opinion. Bold means I really, really recommend it.

Updating my post to show what i am super happy with so far. These are the products i highly, highly recommend.
  • Baja XLR-80's in grille from agile off-road
  • Triple-R linear lightbar on roof rack
The Baja 80's are great. Great, great, great! A super impressive amount of light coming out. I recommend adding them to the high load center switch in the roof. I am also adding a relay to the high beam so that the lights only come on when the roof switch is on AND the high beam is on.

Now the Triple-R linear lightbar is impressive. 24.7 amp so it needs to have the full 25A circuit. It shoots lights a mile away and despite being on top of the roof rack it doesn't have any glare in the hood thanks to an impressive directivity of the light. But here is the truth, i don't think its needed when you have the baja 80's. I would seriously consider skipping this if you have the 80's. Having both is great at a high speed country road, but not really needed.

  • Leitner backup lights bracket
  • Baja s2 backup/working lights
Great lights. I added them to a switch on the high load center (i took the circuit from the drivers side kick panel and used that, can't remember which INT switch it is). The bracket is great. I also wired in a relay to my reverse lights so they come on automatically when the reverse lights are on regardless of which position the high load center is. That way they come on when reversing or when hitting the high load center switch. I had to add 2 diodes to prevent current leaking from the relay back to the high load center or from the high load center to the reverse lights.

  • Ineos forum 3D printed light shroud for reverse lights
Quite happy with those. Really worked out well. My screws i got started to get rusty but my local hardware store had stainless black screws in the right size. Probably my fault. Works very well to prevent glare into the reverse camera.
.
  • GP factor bull bar and hidden winch
very happy with the hidden winch and the bull bars. to me this completes the car. I like the look of the hidden winch and the bull bar really belongs. Not a very hard install. Though stuff.
  • Agile off-road fox steering damper
I think this and a great vehicle alignment made my car perfect. to me this is a must have. I know it's a bit divisive but I truly think this is one of the must have items.

  • Dissent off-road sliders
Fantastic sliders. Looks super nice too. Form and function in an amazing package. Highly recommended. I lifted my car using a jack off the sliders.
  • Rival underbody protection (full set)
Good but i think i would have gone for the agile offroad set these days. agile looks easier to install, and especially the gas tank protection plate. Still happy with my purchase but as I said there are other good options too these days.

  • Exoshield on windshield
Must have in my opinion. Has saved my windshield from cracks several times over. There are other vendors, I don't know if one is better than the other but I recommend this to owners.
  • Bison gear roof rack and molle side panels
I am very happy with this purchase. I think it really worked out for me. Good quality and once I got everything sorted it became quiet and strong. Extremely little wind noise. Top quality. I would also consider leitner but that wasn't available when I bought my set. I am still very happy with my roof rack.
  • Alubox on roof rack
Top top quality. i put away stuff i don't use very often there. I got integrated locks for it from germany which really works.
I mounted it with bolts directly to the roof rack.
  • Victron battery monitor
Sure the car will tell you about the battery, but the victron will be much more accurate. this i trust, the built-in function in the car not so much.
  • Wolfbox G900 mirror
This is required in my opinion. Really great functionality and highly recommended. Wire in the battery protection circuit that's in the hardwire kit and you'll be happy. Connect the reverse lights and it changes angle downward when reversing. Really good product.
  • Suma performance mirrors for more blindspot coverage
For me this worked out well, slightly wider angle with no loss of detail. The gray worked out.
  • Ineos driver's side A pillar grab handle
Must have item IMHO. Makes it so much easier to get into the car. Factory right hand drive handle looks stock on on a left hand drive car. I really like both form and function.
  • Tougher khaki seat covers
Great quality, super sturdy. If you use the Grenadier the way it was meant to be used you'll love this. In dust and dirt it's great. Car looks proper African in the sand color tan color. Great price for quality.
  • GrenadierUSA cup holders and cover
This is a bit vanity but I love the looks. The cup holder are great for my yeti cup but I did okay with my 3D printed inserts. However this product in gray looks fantastic in my car.
  • 30% ceramic tint on safari windows
Necessary in Western USA, especially if you drive in the desert. Really like this.

  • Bison gear interior trunk shelf
  • Bison gear side containers for trunk
  • Bison gear molle for rear windows
  • Bison gear fold down molle for seat back
Big fan. Lots of functional storage without losing trunk space. Highly recommended. The interior shelf is pure genius.

That's it, my best of the best list based on what I got installed today.
I'll update it once I get my diabolical drawers installed.
