Howdy all, to my knowledge this may be the first OWL bumper installed outside of an OWL facility. Per OWL bumper install requires heavy modification and a shop with fabrication level of capability. Flipp Fab 4x4 was exactly the place to get this done and Felipe was an absolute professional.

I decided to tap into Felipe’s expertise and get some other custom mods done.

Second, Felipe installed the MetalCloak sway bar disconnect. The issue with the stock sway bar is it utilizes spring loaded bushings. This prevents the sway bar from fully swinging up to be tied out of the way. Felipe removed those bushings and installed a non-spring loaded one that allows my sway bar to swing fully up and out of the way while off-roading.

Fourth, Felipe deleted my rear muffler/muffler skid plate and custom fabricated a pipe to connect to one of the pre-existing muffler tips. Got this idea from Bodhis Grenadier here on the forum. It gives me clearance, drops weight and greatly improves the sound!

5th, I had Felipe adjust my steering stops to allow for tighter turning radius. This made a much larger improvement than I had expected.

6th, Felipe is working on a custom fabricated rear skid plate to clean up the look and protect the area exposed from the muffler delete and rear hitch removal.

All in all, super happy with all the mods and Felipe’s good work. I know he plans to keep in touch with OWL in regards to future product releases and becoming a local expert on custom Grenadier off road mods and OWL product installation. I highly recommend Flip Fabb 4x4.

(My other exterior mods include Owl sliders, Owl wheels, 2.5” lift, Fox ATS steering stabilizer, Agile tire relocate bracket)

Now for the pics!

No, I had Hill Country British install the lift.

If I had to do it again I’d have Flipp Fab do it.

First, Flip Fabbs main business is custom rock crawler Jeeps on 40+” tires with custom suspensions, steering setups,
radiators, and roll cages. Springs are pretty simple for them.

Plus, Hill Country British didn’t lock-tight my steering stabiler or mark the bolts position and it came loose and got damaged. Felipe had to re-orient it, lock-tight it and torque it too spec. He checked the specs on everything else and marked the bolts for me just for thoroughness.
