Been there in 2011, hitch hiking, yes, hitch hiking from Flinders Range. I was at that time 54 years old!
Quite magical place, especially getting there the way I did with the people who gave me a lift!
And from there I got a lift to Darwin together with 4 Australian young engineers, in several days of course. I got the lift in the very old car (that I noticed the day before at my "underground mine hotel") a Valiant, and they were travelling together with friends in a refurbished Mitsubishi Pajero, a car I knew very well because I had owned one in the past. On the road to Darwin they had to do some repairs at the Valiant.

Australia was one of my best travels in my "old adult life".
