Have you heard about the pan American deal. Canada and Mexico cut the US out and transportation runs via ocean from Vancouver to Mexico on West Coast. Then Quebec City to Mexico. Go straight through the gulf of Mexico. Maybe that doesn't destroy the jobs.
If you guys don't want all the low priced consumer goods that lifted the standard of living for the average Joe over the last few decades we are happy to take them, even cheaper now that excess production needs to find a new home!
