The cup holder issue has been my most maddening aspect of the Gren. Every at speed left turn tosses my coffe cup out of the holder onto the passenger floorboard. It's not like I am running around with Big Gulps or anything. I just need it to hold the two vessels I use daily. My coffee mug and my Soda Stream bottle (that just rolls off the passenger seat onto floor because no chance of fitting the cupholder). I found a temporary solution (first picture). My middle boy is in college to become a tech teacher (modern day shop). He just bought a fancy very capable 3d printer so a permanent solution is in the works! In measuring and inspecting the taper is needed in the factory holders to avoid the cable on the right and the gussets on the console base plate. The gussets could be removed but my intention is to require as little cutting of the factory plastic as possible to accommodate the larger cup holder. We've come up with a work around design that we he is printing out now and I will test and tweak. I'll post the results once we are there but for now I'll run with my temporary solution!

@SQF1 I might have you covered. What are the diameters? I have machined a larger cupholder. It may work for you.

80mm & 90mm respectively. He is printing the second take soon but I'm interested in what you have. I'm not fond of the one here on the forum that overlays the stock cupholder. I use the armrest to place my clipboard on while working out of the truck and raising them up makes that difficult. What we have will create larger cupholder (although shallower) and require little alteration to the factory plastic. I can toss the factory cupholder into the storage bin along with things like the window sticker and tire cover that I don't use but want to keep safe.

The nearly finished cup holder is in place. I may have him print it in grey but seeing as now this one holds what I need it to I may just go with this for a while before making any further changes. I did have to remove some of the console plastic to open up the space to fit the larger diameters. Nothing crazy and nothing that was of any true importance to the structure.

the stock cup holders are terrible but our 30oz yeti tumblers fit just fine with zero modifications. So anyone looking for a travel mug that fits I recommend them if they do not want to modify the stock cup holders.

You might try this:

I have this one. So cheap but I love it! Adjustable / expandable. But the key is the offset feature — if you put in offset position you can have one in each cup holder and it holds the large capacity thermoses. It also has detachable cell phone holder.

Wow one I haven’t seen before and may actually buy to try it out!! Nice find gf!!😉😎

Why you just drink good coffee - well espresso ;-) ?
Greetings from Italy to my friends across the pond.

I bought these coffee drink holders, they are a nice design, they will hold your cell phone in a special spot in the front. The center will hold your drink. I bought a Driver and a passenger. I will bend the metal frame to face at the driver .They are very well made.
