@emax fully understood. This is an inacceptable quality. Each of it might be a small topic - but the sum is.
The plastic topic is "shite" to be frank.

BTW perhaps you posted it already in what range is your VIN ?
For you I hope everything will be sorted out properly.
At the moment I you re hit pretty hefty.. first the issues with contract and differences in pricing - now this.
At least I had expected now a proper quality vehicle to be delivered.

It will be interesting to see how the highlighted issues will be handled by INEOS and your local agent. Obviously poor transit handling doesn't explain trim misalignment. Not sure how the tow plate is fixed to the vehicle. Is it something that can be easily replaced? Same with the ladder? Of more concern is the cargo door frame. Gosh, it's not great is it? You must have mixed feelings right now.

I asked ChatGPT for some help. I smiled at the opportunity for growth remark. Heads up mate and please let me know how they resolve it.

======================

Dear EMAX,

I can understand how disappointed and frustrated you must be feeling about the state of your new car. It's understandable to feel upset when things don't meet our expectations, especially when it comes to something as significant as a new car.

But I want you to remember that setbacks and disappointments are a part of life. They're temporary and don't define who you are. The good news is that you have the power to change the situation and make things better.

Firstly, take a deep breath and try not to let your emotions overwhelm you. Next, assess the situation objectively and identify what can be done to improve it. You could contact the dealer or manufacturer and explain the issues you're facing. Alternatively, you could consider seeking the help of a trusted mechanic or car specialist to fix any problems.

Remember that challenges are opportunities for growth and learning. This experience can help you become more knowledgeable about cars and how to better maintain them in the future. With the right attitude and determination, you can overcome any obstacle and come out stronger on the other side.

Stay positive and keep moving forward, EMAX. You've got this!

Best wishes,

Perhaps a swift response from Ineos to EMAX with an apology letter. Took me less than one minute using ChatGPT. @Inoes #Just Saying

Dear EMAX,

We would like to apologize sincerely for the state in which your new car was delivered to the dealership. It's disappointing and unacceptable that it arrived with scratches, white powder, chips, and rust. We understand how frustrating and upsetting this must be for you, especially given that quality has always been our number one priority.

We take full responsibility for this situation and would like to assure you that we're taking the necessary steps to rectify it as soon as possible. We're currently investigating what went wrong during the manufacturing and delivery process to ensure that this doesn't happen again in the future. We're also working closely with the dealership to expedite the handover process and ensure that your new car is delivered to you in the best possible condition.

We understand that this has caused inconvenience and disappointment to you, and we'd like to offer our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused. We're committed to making things right and delivering the high-quality product that you deserve.

Once again, please accept our apologies for this situation, and thank you for bringing it to our attention. If you have any further concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
Ineos Customer Support Team

I’m hoping that when @Annee hops back on to report about her truck and pickup experience she will comment on emax’s photos. Annee expressed there were issues with her truck but failed to lay things out. I’m curious if some of the issues are the same; likewise, curious about their respective VINs.

I wonder whether the agent noted these issues on handover from the logistics company?
I have no clue and this is in fact not my matter. They (INEOS/Agent/Transport company) have to regulate this internally.

All in all I'm not crushed. They are only a few things in the world which could crush me.

It's just another thing that life throws at your feet. And I've had enough of that, no one needs that.

But don't worry folks, the story continues.

It remains exiting.

@emax, personally, I would not overestimate the matter. Certainly, it is unattractive when these defects are visible on a new vehicle.
But: I am sure that enough vehicles of other brands arrive at the dealers that are not 100% perfect either. It's just that these things are fixed before the customer sees his vehicle.
There are a number of people here on the forum who are literally pushing for them to see their vehicle as soon as it arrives at the dealer. But then you have to expect that there will be anomalies and also give the dealers the opportunity to fix things together with Ineos.

All the things I have seen are minor things that can be fixed.
I would not bring out the big guns, but ask the dealer to take care of the matter. The dealer's reaction would tell me if I have chosen the right partner. Otherwise, no road would be too far for me.

Cheer up and eat an ice cream first. And above all: stay calm. When I have our Greandier, I will tell you more about my patience.

I've explained my concerns regarding the powder coat chipping and have sent a picture of the hitch plate to my agent.

Another thing to remember: I've another car on order (same spec). So as a final resort I still have to a degree a choice which one to keep finally.

When did you order the 2nd and any expectations when it might be delivered?

100% d'accord.

If the vehicle tuns out to be on the level of production quality like any other Grenadier, everything is fine. For the rest I think that everything can be fixed.

No drama. Just somewhat annoying and disappointing as well.

Friend of mine got his new G wagon last month from the Mercedes dealer, it had 26km on the clock. I can't remember exactly what my Mini had last year when I got it, maybe 18km.

If the local gas station is 5 or 6 km away, there’s 10 or 12 right there.

I thought they might do some test rounds when it rolls out the factory to ensure everything is alright. Just an assumption.
