I've seen the one from Australia for $500. A bit rich for me, and shipping is spendy...
Anyone have a pointer for a mount suitable for the ladder for the hi-lift?

I have a roof rack mount but I'm trying to keep the weight off the roof rack.

There are plenty of tube mounts for hi lift jack like this one attached. Inc cheaper on Amazon and eBay.

Do they not get filthy and go rusty keeping them outside the vehicle? If at all possible I think I’d rather try and store it securely somewhere inside. I used to keep one under the back seats of my defender 110, zip tied to the seat frame, obviously that’s not an option in the Grenadier…

They do but I keep well maintained when on my travels. And use lanoguard when in storage between travels.

Mine was in the same place. When I can find a ladder, the hiLIft will go one side and my rigid tow bar on the other.

I've seen these, they seem designed for the vertical bar, I want to mount on the horizontal bars (the steps) as it seems like a more secure location and if a screw ever wanders loose i think there is less risk that I'll smash the hi lift into my trunk door. The Australian hi lift mount is attached to the steps and that seems appropriate to me.

I guess I could buy them and see if they line up with spacing appropriate for the steps but I was hoping someone already had tested it.
