Coolest thing I could possibly add to my Gren, but they appear a little light duty for my money. They are certainly not V404 portals.

You first saw the Grenadier and Quartermaster prototypes with portal axles at Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year, with increased ground clearance and wading depth. The response was impossible to ignore… It is coming. Soon.

Using the Grenadier's 'Built for More' DNA, this vehicle takes advantage of the highly adaptable ladder chassis, and body-on-frame construction. Portal axles take off-road capability and extreme durability to another level.

That was on the show „Abenteuer Allrad“ in Germany 2023.
You see the IG by LeTech.

do you know the maximum speed that can be reached with those axles? Usually the portal axles do not reach 80/90 km/h

I've been fortunate enough to use portals over the past 20 years due to a good friend using them, and, as far as the slap on units v. designed as part of the whole truck system, outside of the pure ground clearance provided, ... meh. The bolt on's seem to excel at one one thing at the expense of all else.

I'd rather have the articulation and roll over of a well designed 4" lift with a size up tire than the portals on a factory suspension. Start the rocking when lifting a tire off camber on portals, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Now If I was crossing sandy rivers all day long and I bought a Gren, yea, That'd work. Or, Muddy flat fields in a European ground war. But then again, I'm working thru my head to create specific circumstances where the coolness works. Like, one does when looking at arctic truck balloon tire rigs.

I talked to one person who drove a Grenadier with portals to a fair (fire fighting and rescue) in Dortmund this June. He said 110 km/h (around 66 mph) is possible but not desirable…
See the link below. I didn’t want to „steal“ the picture as there might be rights on it.
