I just picked up my Trialmaster and it has everything I want except one thing - saddle leather. I have the black wrap on the wheel and brake handle. As wacky as it might seem, do you think these are parts I could order? Or maybe one of you want to trade? Can those even be changed or swapped?

It would involve cutting and removing the original cover's stitching and stitching the new cover on. Just needs a whole lot of patience.

If it’s provides you with any assurance, the saddle leather is one of my favourite parts of the interior. As suggested above, the best option now will probably be a shop specialised in auto interiors. I’m guessing you will need to budget for circa $1000.00

Unless you are used to working with leather then it might be best to just find someone who is, it wouldn’t necessarily have to be an auto expert.

A saddler or even someone who makes/restores luggage could do it.

If you do have a go, how long will it take, surely the wheel needs to come off to give a better job.

If it was me, I would wait for the inevitable write off/scrapyard breaker to have a grenadier in their yard. There are some already being broken after an accident.

There are several online sites that provide leather upgrades kits for various vehicle wheels. They come pre-cut in a kit and you simply cut off your existing one and sew on the new one. None of the sites I visited had kit's for the Grenadier, but I did see the option to send in your wheel for them to wrap. I assume once one of us sends in their wheel, they'll make a kit available. You can also just get leather wraps, but not quite the same thing.

Here's one: https://www.redlinegoods.com/

The first pictures of the saddle leather option showed a lighter-color. I looked forward to choose that option, but when the choices were formalized, it turned into a darker color. I decided on black since I didn't want to spend extra for a darker saddle leather shade.

I can understand completely your reticence however, I think you missed a trick. Strange what things make a difference. For me I don't think I would enjoy my Grenadier quite as much without the quirky Saddle Leather finish.

The. Belstaff 1924 edition has a Black saddle leather trim felt good on the demo if you don't like the weird red/brown tone

If I did it again, I would probably bypass the inaccurate altimeter and put that money towards the saddle leather. Living at sea level gives people a chuckle when they get in the car and it says we are -75 ft below sea level. LOL.
