JBL Nano Sub Install

I've already read through multiple threads on people adding different subwoofers, but relocating them in various places throughout the Gren. Im just interested in purchasing the JBL Nano that comes standard with the "Premium" sound system....and hopefully plug and play and be done with it

Is it as easy as flipping up the rear seat and plugging it in - I dont have the extra battery situation....so will it just slide in and sit under the seat....or do I actually have to figure out a way to mount it under the seat? Some threads mention having to remove the entire rear seat? Just looking for the path of least resistance for adding a little bass to the system....not looking for a major sound upgrade. Thanks

I just removed the JBL Nano because I installed an aftermarket system. What would you like to know? You have to remove the plastic cover that goes over the rear seat. It easy to do and just 3 screws and 2 nuts at the bottom. You also have to purchase or make a bracket for the Nano. I assume that you have the plug and play harness somewhere near the transmission tunnel, the whole process will take like 10 mins.

The real question is why do you want to buy the JBL nano? I am sure there are a 100 alternatives that are better.

100?! Can you suggest a better-than-average sub for under the front passenger seat that's not a bear to install?
If you are asking about front seats, thats a different question. I currently have the 8” sub and custom enclosure from this package.

This is just a hunch, but from what i can see an active sub similar in size to the jbl nano might fit under there. If you find one that fits, you just need an extension cable and hook up to the same harness the jbl nano uses. I am not an expert though and could be totally wrong.

If you have space under the rear seat, i believe the options open up a lot more. Especially considering the easy access to battery and multiple mounting locations.

Thanks for the info - I’m just looking for the easiest “plug and play” option - and figured this is what ships with Ineos, it must be pretty straightforward…this just plugs in with the one connector, correct? Wont have to run or splice any other wires - just looking to fill out the sound some, nothing extreme or complicated.

My dealer doesn’t have any mounting brackets - does it have to mount to something or will it not just sit in there without any brackets?

Do you still have your bracket that you might want to sell?

I assume the factory plug is present for non-premium sound cars. If the plug is present, it should be plug and play. If you want it under the rear seats, you will have to mount it. If under front seats, it can just sit there. Here is a picture of the bracket. I was thinking of keeping the bracket incase i trade my car and remove the aftermarket system. Here is a picture of the bracket, i hope it helps.

Yup, I understand this. I sold home and car audio gear decades ago. Just looking for specific model suggestions for, say, twice the price or less.
My initial statement about 100 options was for the rear seats. But it seems like you are looking for suggestions for the front seat. In this case, options may be limited because you are limited by width.

You might want to go to an audio shop and see what they have to work. Take the JBL nano specs in so you have the ampage. Anything bigger would need a amp and where are you going to put it.

I bought an In-phase USW300. It has the same connector as the JBL nano so it will be plug and play. Much cheaper and sounds pretty good to me.

It will fit under a seat, that would need an extension but they are readily available. It would need some kind of bracket.
