I believe your grab handle will suffer and will wear underneath that bracket. A mount like this would be much better. https://rammount.com/products/ram-vb-195-sw2
Someone has to figure out where to mount it best. Maybe on the screws of the fire extinguisher? But then it would eventually restrict the movement of the seat. Ideal would be if the bracket was mounted on the seat itself so it would slide back and forth when the seat is adjusted. 🤔
No problem of wear that I’ve noticed so far but I have a rubber strip between the grab handle and the ram clamp.

Here is a RAM solution (via John Canny). The base is a Seasucker mount (Australian source here):

I have used the original ram mount suction cup to mount an ipad. It never came off and also works. No need for the very expansive seasucker. Another option i have seen is to use one of the suction cup handles used to carry window glass. You find them in hardware stores. There are several options using ram mount components to mount an ipad to this.
Edit: i don't want to go with this solution in the grenadier since i want the ipad to sit on the passenger side. There such a mount would probably come in conflict with the airbag.

Anyone interested in a rugged in-dash tablet mount that utilizes the existing centre console fixtures (no holes drilled)?
The mount is rock solid for tablets and has the capability of being rotated for the passenger to use if required - see linked video below for example.

If we can get at least 15 sponsors then a local Sydney Australian company named Industrial Evolution will make up a vehicle specific mount for the Grenadier. Industrial Evolution make the mounting brackets for police cars and ambulances amongst others.

Once the template is created the base mounts will sell for around AUD$268 and additional docking stations are around AUD$427 for specific tablets. The base mounts can also be used for other devices as required.

If of interest I am prepared to lend them my Trialmaster for a few days for the creation of the template.
