Australasia INEOS Grenadier deal for military personnel

Both Ineos customer service in Melbourne and my dealer. They carry on like politicians - customer service says get onto dealer - dealer claims he’s waiting on Ineos????
Im sure that the APOD people would like to hear of your situation Bobby Mac!!
Don’t hold your breath - I‘ve been onto them since well before I took delivery of the vehicle on 29th July and still haven’t heard a thing.
Are the APOD people aware of this situation you have in trying to make them honour their advertisment with APOD? Might be an idea to make them aware.

This is mostly a duplicate/repeat of the Defense Force Discounts thread. At post #42 of that thread I shared that Ineos Australia (IA) were managing the discounts as a refund after sale. That's different to how the APOD offer is described but I suspect the APOD offer anticipated a discount on accessories purchased from agents after the initial sale.
Joel Williams @ IA arranged my $1500 refund. If you're eligible for the discount and have provided the necessary proof to your agent then ask your dealer to contact Joel to facilitate the refund. I had to provide my bank details to Ineos CS and the payment was made about 10 working days later.

Dont forget the Veteran discount on GST also.
What's this one? I'm currently serving, but have TPI points > than required for a Gold Card (76) so I am technically (when I get out) eligible for a Gold Card. I am thinking about retiring anyway... or pushing the Gold Card from DVA regardless (I received a White Card with 17 isues, but when I went to apply for a Gold they said 'when you leave Defence...'?

Firstly Zoro, I would get that statement "when you leave Defence " in hard copy format from DVA. I don't know what the situation is with TPI these days but I was under the impression they (the Government via DVA) were trying to phase it out. Whatever moves Government implement, you can bet its for their benefit and not yours. Certainly with the Grenadier you are eligible for the APOD $1500 discount on accessories from INEOs Australia BUT that refund is only forthcoming after you purchase the vehicle. Hope this helps.

Cheers - and yep, just had it confirmed from APOD that I will get a $1500 discount / bank transfer applied after I sign up. That's good, signing up occurs tomorrow provided I can find some work time.

As for TPI and the rest... if it changes then my read on it is that any changes occur to members joining up after the change - just like the superannuation that I currently have that is no longer offered to new members. Agree that any change will not be to my benefit - sounds like you've been there/ done that one! But I have a confirmed 76 points TPI, with the "gold" standard being 60 points. To be honest, I won't rely on it - as it also remains the case that you need to find specialists that will conform to DVA rates of billing/ pay - and that's not likely to occur for anyone decent.

Hi there Zoro. I think you will find that the $1500 is only forthcoming once you have taken delivery of the vehicle not when you sign up for the vehicle. As far as the TPI situation is concerned, its well worth the trouble and gives a discount of over $9k depending on State Stamp Duties etc. Details are contained within the DVA on line documents.
