I'm sure they have best intentions

Not sure why they are focusing their attention where 70% of the population is.
Could also coincide with timing of suitable events.
Another month and all those demo units will arrive and we will be able to drive production models around at the dealers.
Dave Land Rover followed that approach and now their Bush Vehicle is no longer in the running, having been totally pushed out of existence by Toyota. Strangle enough, the best place to sell a Bush Vehicle is in the Bush and thats what Toyota did over the years. Land Rover arrogance put them where they are now days and they have no one to blame except themselves for that situation. I hate to see Ineos Australia singing from the same song sheet.

In Australia, maybe the implementation has been missing to date, although that might be down to the number of vehicles in country to date, but certainly the declared model is to service the more remote rural owner.

Indeed, the agency model is supposed to give Ineos more flexibility to move the demo fleet around.

These are quotes from the UK, but the principle applies more widely.

‘In some very rural parts of the UK, for example, we will partner with companies whose franchises are agricultural franchises – JCB, Massey Ferguson, those kind of franchises. They are next to auction centres and livestock centres. Their neighbours are NFU regional offices, that kind of thing. Because that is where the customers go and they live and they work.

‘From a test drive and experiencing the vehicle point of view, the last thing we want is for someone who lives in a rural area to drive an hour to an urban location and test drive a Grenadier around traffic lights and a roundabout, while we talk to them about its rugged off-road ability. The place they need to experience it is the place they’re going to use it.’

A UK journalist once told me an interesting anecdote concerning Land Rover and their arrogance. He now is married to an Australian and lives in Oz, but back in the 1960's he was sent out to Australia by Land Rover in Solihull to do a story about Land Rover in Australia, which he did. On return to Solihull he reported back to the LR CEO and warned that "You had better watch out because those Australians are starting to purchase those Japanese 4x4 Toyotas and Datsuns"

He said he will never forget the reply from the CEO, who took off his glasses and said to him "...they will learn"

We all know how that ended up don't we?

Well if it's any consolation Perth is next after Adelaide, so maybe there's a plan to move clockwise and it will arrive in Townsville presently?

Yes, that way they could drop in at Broom, Derby, Katherine, Darwin, and Cairns along the way??? Seriously though I think a lot of the problem concerns Individuals and where their personal comfort zone extends too.

Really? Haven’t heard of a Perth show upcoming?

Would be good if they did do Cairns... only 4 hours or so up the road
