Let me share my first idea to mount a CB aerial.

CB is for me only of use when travelling with a group.
If not in use i remove the antenna and protect the base with a cap.

Just some simple cable management to the footwell through the door rubber-sealing.

I was almost sure you want "links"

use some additional sealing for this

1. Could you elaborate on how the antenna cable is routed to the (passenger side) footwell?

2. How have you installed and routed power to the radio itself?

So the aerial is on the top of the bonnet near the center of your windscreen?
Seems an unusual place to put it.
You would need to remove it every time you wanted to lift the bonnet, is that correct?

As mentioned above, I’d be keen to see how you’ve installed your uhf please.

mounting as per another post.
yes very unusual.
It is CB radio. Not UHF.
Need to remove it only for bonnet-service-position. But just the aerial.

Let's see how it behaves...
Thanks for your comment.

I am likely to install a 2M radio, and will follow my CB antenna installation from my long-retired Discovery. This was mounted to the rear-door spare tire mount with a quick-release attached to the spring. The cable is routed through the rear door wire loom and the tuned ground plane was fine for a CB, and hopefully good for 2M.

Merci ;)

As a temporary fix as I do not have a Roo Bar, I bought a bracket, the pre drilled holes happened to match perfectly with the holes/spacing in the chequer plate. All I did was drill out the rivets and fix new ones. It holds strong, its not going anywhere.
