I can't take the f*cking TRAIN HORN any longer!!!!! Aaarrgghh.

My personal favorite is the incessant "service due" reminder Bong.... which they decided needs to start a full 60 days before when the truck thinks it needs to be serviced- every single time you start it.

It also flashes a warning on the screen blanking out your odometer and miles remaining gauge for half of the drive too.

Oh and it's not user resettable either. ARRRGGGHHH

It would be nice to have option to set loudness level of the warning bong, and also to select a different tone that is less startling. Hopefully someone clever one day will figure out how to hack the interface and install own files including ECU maps, gear change settings, and different tones etc. Hint hint to someone cleverer than me to give it a crack... Happy to pay appreciation in beers or holiday snaps.

Thankfully mine doesn't bong much now other than for service reminders or if I've left a door open etc, but it sure did for the first 6 months of ownership until various early software updates were installed.

My driveway is sloped down toward my house, and the fuel level sensor frequently bongs for the amber add fuel alert, only to go away when I get down the road a mile or two on level ground, only to go off again about ten miles later, or if I go downhill and level out again. It's annoying, I agree with Jeffrey. The bong is way too loud and quite startling. Also, the thing demands fuel "BONG!" at 70 miles to go indicated, which is 1/3 tank remaining, which I can then drive another 100+ miles easily before actually needing fuel.

As well as my Ineos, I also have a Smart Roadster (Mercedes build 20 year earlier in the same factory as the Ineos in Hambach - (trivia) but relevant) - which does the same. The Smart fuel level indicator starts flashing as low fuel from about half full tank when driving on a hill. It must be a feature of the ex-Mercedes factory that vehicles they build irrespective of brand do this same thing. Probably the same team or family assembling vehicles despite 20 years difference in age. I'm wondering whether this is a characteristic of Hambach engineers? They're pretty close to the Rhine/ Moselle river wine regions. Maybe too much Riesling?

I had a similar door bong issue right off the lot after purchase. Straight back to the dealer and the head tech knew exactly what it was…the rear door striker/latch adjustment was loose from the factory. One good slam of the rear doors and the alignment is off and it’ll “bong” every hard acceleration and over any significant bump.

He realigned everything, tightened it back up, drove it around, said it was fixed, and not a single “bong” since.

In my experience the rear door catches weren’t fully closing around the metal “loop” for the tops of the doors. . So I adjusted the closure “loops”out slightly. No more bonging sounds for me.

Mine has that option
Mine has that option too, but the warning bongs (e.g. the service interval reminder) remain at the same volume irrespective of the setting. I just assumed that it was therefore maybe only for less important bongs, and not applicable to all warnings. Or maybe mine doesn't work...

Mine is the same. You can adjust the bong volume for most things, not the fuel or service reminder.

Some times the Ineos software is so shitty that the bong audio gets cut off, so only the tail end of the audio clip gets played. I find those moments as angels looking down from above👼. That’s also when in my mind I think to the computer - “haha you tried you fk, but couldn’t get the full audio out! I win this round”

Ineos is so stupid - A jump scare bong at max volume. Then even dumber for sending out the ceo to a podcast to promise software update.

Then we wait for the update: View attachment 7891998

Then no update, and we repeat the loop by being disappointed, mad, and calling Ineos a stupid operation.
I thought I was the only was that did hateful victory swearing at the software - like all the time. Every bong or click that doesn’t happen, I have been treating as a personal, cosmic victory over my arch-nemesis. It’s totally understandable to swear at the alerts that DO happen - but when you swear in gloating delight and satisfaction at the ones that DON’T - man, that is a sign of some serious psychological damage.

I was just getting some info for someone else on the front parking sensor permanent disable and also noticed the permanent speed sensor disable.
I recall I disabled both soon after taking delivery
Made me wonder if you don't get these options in the US
They are permanent and don't reset each time vehicle is turned off.
