Hello,
I'm Swiss 54 living in the mountains, using vehicle with improved traction since ages, from tractors, light trucks and 4WD. Like to travel all around Europe during my holidays. Maybe interested by your loved Grenadier, because my beloved car has been sentenced "too small" by the family.

Contest, limited to US citizen, guess the car brand and model!

I'm pretty sure it's a Dacia from the grill, but not sure the model. Maybe a Duster.

I'll name that car in one - but then I'm in the UK and disqualified!

I can name that car brand, but in UK. I bet there are very few of those in the US

Yes Dacia Duster, uniboby, independant suspension, 4WD with coupler (no center differential), open differentials, poor traction control, but light, it weight less than 1400kg, powered by a small 1,5L turbo diesel. 5 to 6 liter per 100km.

Looks great - if it gets stuck, you can always pick it up and portage it over the tough spots

I know I am not allowed to reply as I am not American, but I was born In California.
( California Great Britain) as stated on my passport and birth certificate.
My wife and I hired A Darcia Duster for a couple of weeks in September 2023 when we were in Morocco, we did a lot of driving in it including to the fringe of the Sahara Desert, very light and very economical, but no powerhouse.
Darcia's are very popular in Morocco, they are literally everywhere.
Anyway welcome to the group, you will love the Grenadier.

Thank you, I love the concept, but the IG is considered here in Europe, car of the apocalypse. But if you live in the country side, you tow, then there are not many solutions.

Thanks to some lobbies in my country, as soon as the trunk exceed 30% of the car cabine volume, it can be registered as commercial car with tax reduction, so guess what....

Think of it as an act of patriotism- just like all Swiss perform their military service, they should have Apocalypse trucks in case San Marino decides to invade. In that light, you can explain to your family that you NEEEEEDED to buy it. I mean, there really is no choice in the matter. Unless you hate your country.
