We might have the only clean Grennies there! See you then, Bill. I'm arriving on the 10th. We're staying at the Expedition Lodge for 5 nights.

We will be at the Greenwell Inn (Best Western Plus) for four nights.

I'm at La Quinta inn Thursday to Saturday. Have to head out Saturday, got an event in Las Vegas on Saturday I have to be at.

For Rim Rocker guys, yes, lets all share phone numbers. We likely wont have service at the camp ground, but can at least make contact on Saturday or Sunday as we are headed up.

Sounds like everybody’s getting ready! Montrose is about 2 1/2 hours from Purgatory, but we may go up Poughkeepsie Gulch or take in Animas forks on the way over to start the mood off right. I guess we will be in Montrose between lunch and mid afternoon. We will be setting up camp very near the trail head on BLM, unless somebody else has found a better spot by then. Again, we will be on GMRS#6.

Is anyone else coming up via Silverton or red mtn pass?

Sounds like you will be first, so you are in charge of finding the right spot. Or I could get to Purgatory by maybe 10:00AM and we could head over together? But if we go off road it will take a couple of extra hours, no biggy, still get there plenty early. You can check out where I am setting my cabin on the way. Meeting to start design work after this trip.

M4x4, Call me when you getting to Durango. We will probably be moving at a relaxed ️ pace. As for spot, I’ll find ‘a’ spot but won’t guarantee it’s the ‘right spot’ . But it’ll be near the start so everyone that makes montrose will be close.

I should be leaving castle rock on/before 9am, so i'm thinking a 2:30-3:00pm arrival to the montrose area.

Mapping: Are this event’s trails available for download from Gaia GPS maps by name, or can anyone advise me which areas (tiles?) in the vicinity of Moab to select and save to my phone?

Thanks, I do know the trail names, but I am now looking for advice on how to find them (or at least the tiles they are on) in the Gaia GPS app for downloading.

Yeah. Odd places we get cel bars. Radio will be on too, but I don’t know what kind of range it gets b/c we really just use it for spotting or in caravan.

I am in Boston till tomorrow but I am really close to Montrose so should have no issues meeting up with the group on Sunday. I am local to the area so if anyone has questions or needs to know where something is feel free to reach out.

I only have Monday off work so I am going to jump off the trail Monday evening and take the interstate back home.

Basically we are just headed out of Montrose on the 90 Road until we find a good campsite. I will grab an auction arrow sign or 2 from my office. So if you see that, you know you have made it. Brantnm why dont we just meet around 10:00AM at Purg and caravan together?
