Hi All.
Introducing myself. I've got the commercial van and love the drive. Had the usual software glitches but nothing I can't deal with.
I wanted to get some feedback from the forum on a modification I've made. I have an automotive lighting business and we've prototyped a animated puddle lamp for the Grenadier.
Let me know what you think?

Looks cool, there is someone else who has done some custom puddle lighting but not animated. How bright is it, does it still work as a puddle light? Thanks.

It is very bright and replaces the standard light. The technology is quite advanced. Standard logo lamps just use and LED with a Gobo aray and a filter. This is literally a digital video projector. So any video can be played on the floor

Hi TankBoy
Cost please, and how we purchase. Is it one you might consider selling through the forum?
Hi, This is the 1st one for my Grenadier, although we make them for an OEM. Due to the technology they are not going to be anything like as cheap as the static logos.

When we’re ready we will launch on here

I saw this the other day on facebook as well. I love this idea. Especially if they can be customized in an app. If you need and "testers" i will gladly help out ;) . Definity want a set of these. Any idea on cost or when they will be available?

I feel like they would have to be well under the $500 mark for me to justify a set. $350 would be a sweet spot but I don’t really know what goes into making them.
If regular branded cool puddle lights are in the $100'ish range then I think this is justified up to $350.
Possibly a bit more if they also allow customization.

North of $400 I think I'll be hesitant. North of $500 I think I'm out.

Wouldn’t there be some sticky licensing agreement stuff to work out first with IA if the unit was sold using the Grenadier logo? I’m fairly sure IA lawyers, if they got a whiff of it being sold unlicensed, would potentially be all over it. Licensing fees would surely push the price up.

Very cool though would certainly want one if it is affordable.
