I’m going to lead a non-scratchy green laning day out in the Yorkshire Dales on Saturday 14th September just for Grenadiers. Everywhere we go will be suitable for Fieldmasters with road-biased tyres, although A/T tyres are preferred. As much as possible I’ll pick routes that won’t attack the paintwork, but I can’t guarantee it as lanes can quickly become overgrown at this time of year (but no pushing past tree branches). There may be a few fords to cross, but nothing deep or prolonged.

No previous experience required, just a taxed and insured Grenadier. Everywhere we go is technically on a road. If you break down then we’ll do our best to get you back to tarmac for your recovery service to pick you up. Bring a pack-up to keep you going during the day, and a camera to capture some amazing views. If you’ve got a CB radio (or a programmable PMR) so we can communicate from vehicle to vehicle that is always a bonus.

I’ll lead the day in accordance with GLASS code of conduct, driving at no more than 12mph on unsurfaced roads, and being courteous to all other road users. I take no responsibility for the safety of you, your passengers or your vehicle, I’m simply sharing my hobby with other like-minded people.

Maximum 6 vehicles. If you want to come along please sign up. I’ll sort out a route and let attendees know where to meet.

This is the second outing, so if you came to the first one then this is a new set of lanes. Please sign up.

I’m going to lead a second set of lanes in the Eastern Dales (which will include most of the lanes we did on the first outing) on the following day for a wider group. Please let me know if you’re interested. Camping available on site, or glamping and self-catering nearby. Message me for details.

We are keen to come along inc camping for the weekend. Saturday would suit us better but camp both nights if possible.

I am keen to come along for the Saturday. Presumably, extra passengers are not an issue providing they bring more food and drink? (I might try and get sister and brother in law as extra ballast. They live in Stokesley, so I'm hoping for family B&B).

Hi Jeremy,
The more the merrier. Please send me your contact details. Will also do Sunday in eastern Dales if you’re interested.

When I have been through my phone and dashcam, I'll sort out some images. Many, many thanks to Julian for showing me bits of the high fell I would never have seen without him. Fell-walking without the walk!

The rear dashcam suffered rather badly from a dirty rear window, so it looks much like everything took place in a mist!
