The mat fits rather tight around the L-Track but if you lift it up starting at the doors and run your hand between the metal floor and mat you can work it loose gently around each track. Each end of the tracks snags on the mat a little bit so be careful lifting it up so you don’t tear it.

I see so removing the tracks will just result in the plastic mat lifting very easily? No tab holding it down?

If you are going to be installing the Dynamat I’d recommend removing the tracks (easier to install the Dynamat) and reinstalling the tracks on top of the Dynamat once you lay it all down. This keeps the tracks at the same height relative to the rubber mat once you put it back in so everything looks like stock.

If you install the Dynamat around the tracks and put the rubber mat back in you’ll have a bit of gap around the tracks as the rubber mat will be sitting up higher does that make sense?

You can install it either way but visually it looks better if you put the Dynamat under the tracks. You can use a sharp craft knife to relocate the threaded holes through the Dynamat to re-install the tracks pretty easily.

How did yal lift up the plastic cargo cover? Just by force?

Mine has the floor mounted L tracks. However it doesn’t look like the tracks are holding down the plastic cover..

I couldn't detach the plastic cover without first removing the L tracks.

Interesting… on mine I could easily remove the cargo mat without removing the tracks. It catches a little bit here and there around the tracks but it was very easy to work it loose. Likewise, for the plastic floor panel held down with the little thumbscrews near the back doors. Very easy to take that out and didn’t require removal of the tracks either.

Thanks! What size torx does require to remove l tracks? Something between t40 and t70, which are what I have…

Nicely done! Interesting, I’ve seen a few pictures of other Grenadier’s cargo areas where the plastic plug/covers on the side panels are a different color than the rest of the interior paneling. On mine they are the same color as the side panels I wonder why the difference?

Those three little black covers on the each wheel well all they are hiding are some small fasteners holding the panels on. Just interesting yours are a different color while mine are the same grey color as the rest of the panel. Probably some sort of production run change thing I guess? No big thing.
