Developed this odd noise, high pitched squeak coming from somewhere out the front drivers side wheel. It makes driving with the windows down unbearable. It comes and it goes randomly every few seconds. Just for the heck of it I googled and found a bunch of posts reporting this same noise but no resolution. Was curious if anyone knew exactly what that was before I pull a wheel off and start taking apart the brakes OR going through the trouble of sending it back to the dealer. This isn't the same noise as the steering whine.

thanks guys!

I would at least take the wheel off and look at the brake caliper and the ABS ring guard (without removing) to see if there is anything stuck in there (like a stone) that you may be able to dig/fish out relatively easily.

I wish we had a shop manual for this thing! Never heard of a guard for ABS... I guess I'll have to just look at it. Thanks for the info, if I come up with anything will report back.
