Meet Emil, long-haired Weimaraner, now two years and the reason why I went Grenadier. With a dog this size in the back, plus some stuff on the rear seats, almost any car becomes a two-seater except for full-size SUVs which I cannot manage in winter conditions. I did consider the two-seater utility wagon with a second separation grid initially, but then went for the double cabin pickup for more cargo space instead of less seats. Station wagon and pickup are both huge and heavy and both take up plenty of road space, but usable space of the pickup and space actually put to use is much greater. What is more, to my ears the two-seater was considerably louder, and I felt that the pickup offered a more relaxed ride on-road due to its longer wheel-base and separated and closed cabin. Happy New Year!
