Things I Wish I Knew Last Week
I sliced open my sidewall on Saturday at the North Texas get together. When I went to Discount Tire to get a new one, he offered me 'certificates' for the new replacement plus the 4 originals. I had 2,400 miles on it. He said as long as the tires were new-ish and in good condition, Discount Tire will sell their warranty whether you bought the tires there or not. I had no idea.
For $57 each I now have a no fault tire warranty on all my tires. If I'd done this earlier it would have just paid for itself.
I know extended warranties are a roll of the dice, but this one is worth it to me and I thought I'd pass it along in case someone else didn't know about this either. I did look on their website and I could not find this policy on there. Maybe the guy I dealt with went rogue? I don't know, but I got mine!
