For one of my customers, Robert, I am greatly reducing the noise level in the Grenadier using a combination of Dynamat and acoustic foam or a couple different types. Once the back is buttoned up this week we will be moving forward. If you can dream it, we can build it.

Seeing any sound deading update? How was the reduction?
Reduction is dramatic from the rear cabin work. Relatively little noise from the rear and none from the exhaust. The noise at 2000 rpm in 8th gear was a drone sound is gone. I have done the floor for some other customers and that had great resutls but not as nice as these more complete approaches. It is very time consuming but worth it.

I put a layer dynamite on the trunk floor and that alone was a noticeable improvement. Since then I’ve been working my way through the doors and roof. Will do the trunk sides too. I think it has been worth it.
It's all just time and money. I can tell you it's worth it.

Would like to know the results of this, and/or others. I have a bunch of dynamat left over from my Defender seatbox project that I'd like to use. If it is worth it.
It's worth it. I like to discuss the levels of reduction with my clients and run through the time each approach can take. The doors are some work that's for sure. I think if you have it on hand, give it a shot.

So this worked?!? Is the conclusion that we are getting an oil drum effect with the body panels flexing and setting of a sound wave?
