Design-Build-Go, Rear Passenger Seat Angle Modification

Where are these made David? Are they as thick as the OEM brackets?
Based on his post on FB an unspecified Chinese manufacturer as they are sourced from Amazon

I have them (bought on Amazon) the are good. Came with torx wrench to change yourself. Very easy. Same gauge as OEM brackets.

That being said when you recline the seats further the very lower part of the seat bumps out a bit into your tailbone, then which can be slightly annoying (IE seats were not designed for the angle). But between the two (better recline / small bump) the recline is still better.

Nice, thanks.

I bought these a few weeks ago. They even come with the tool in the box. They have been around about 2 years now. A very noticeable and comfortable seating position.
Like most things... Made in China.
I installed the same ones (also from Amazon and made in China). When I took the bolt off to remove the OEM bracket, there was blue Loctite on it, and the tool sheared off at an angle. It’s kind of a crap alloy - so I just used my own from my tool set (I keep a Husqvarna motorcycle ratchet set in the back of my Grenadier). All good, more comfortable, no rattling. Takes 5 minutes to change.

in the UK we get two versions. One has seats that are further forward and more upright to increase payload giving a more upright and cramped position and another version where some of the payload area is sacrificed to increase the tilt on the rear seats and increase legroom.

The rear space and tilt in the latter version is rarely complained about in the UK as it is fine although the former version is. However, I see a lot of posts from US owners not happy with the tilt and/or legroom space. Does the US get the same choice?

No commercial config - to avoid the chicken tax - so just more tilted rear, which for many of us, is not tilted enough for American preferences
