One of the issues with overnight stays in the Grenadier, is the seats are higher than the rear platform when folded down. This sliding drawer makes the platform level with the seats and drawer so you can load boxes flat or sleep int he back. The top panels have structural ribs built in to hold the weight and the powder coating is incredible. Side leveling kits can be added to trim out the rest of the area between the platform and the walls of the interior. If you would like more information give David a call at 704-682-9323. www.design-build-go.com We sell and install Grenadier parts in our Statesville, NC facility.

Are the side tie downs removable? They look to be in the way for throwing an Exped down and sleeping. Secondly, there is mention of filler panels. Have you seen those or have pictures of them?

Being all metal construction does it rattle around, clank, creak or make any noises on bumpy surfaces? Is there an option for foam drawer liners or rubberized material to deaden sound and cover the top load surface? I have a friend with a similar type system and it sounds like an old metal 2-drawer file cabinet is permanently bouncing around in the back of his vehicle and is very tiring on long journeys both on and off-road.

I am testing it now. My view is all of these systems can use some sound deadening as does the Grenadier itself so I will be reporting back. I know some of the high end cabinet systems are really bad with this. My 2 cents is the user should use rubber or foam lining on all the areas inside if you ask me.

The sides tiedowns are removable. Filler panels I can't load to this site. feel free to text me at 704-682-9323 and I can text you them or call Alan at Diabolical INC. He text me the photos and they are nice but not even on his site yet. I hope that helps.

I just installed sound deading in the trunk under the cover. Also put sound deading inside the doors. Makes a big difference imho.

if i get the platform i would probably consider adding deadening under the top metal plates to ensure there are no resonances in the steel.
I am seriously considering getting the platform.

Does anyone have some real-world photographs of the OEM drawer system which is offered on the vehicle configurator? I like how well integrated it looks and how it conforms to the cargo area fully but would like to see more details on it’s construction, materials used, etc…
