Center Console (cupholder) Solution

I really like the look of these, the 2 loops fit in so well and the fact that it is actually made from metal and not plastic is so much better. I like the phone holder use too. My only issue is that I live in UK and we don't need such big cup holders. Everything i have or any drinks purchased from shops fit in the current holders. Anything too tall i find to be in the way when trying to operate the toggle and switches rather than using the touch screen.
Will it hold securely European 330ml cans and 500ml pop bottles plus small takeaway coffee cups?

The gray is spot on. I'd say a perfect match.

The holder is some form of 3d printed material. Its not abs plastic, is something a bit rubbery but not quite full rubber. Its also more finely printed than any 3d prints I bought before, is a very tight weave. I can't really tell when it's installed, and definitely not with a cup in it. I can feel the print with my finger as a slightly uneven surface.
Thanks for the insights. The quality of the machined cover plate looks amazing much better than the OEM plastic trim but I’m a bit hesitant to get one because of the cup holder material itself. It looks totally functional but somewhat incongruent with the high quality of the cover plate.

I wonder if they could make a version of the cover plate which works with the OEM sized cup holders and put a longer phone storage slot in front of the holders going transversely?

The cup holder is nice, little flexible. Don't let the cup holder hold you back.

Being an expat my thoughts exactly on the cup holder size. I can’t say I’ve found them problematic at all and fit normal sized beverage containers just fine and is why I’d jump at the chance to get a cover plate that works with the OEM holders.

I speculate because I have not tested it, but I think putting the aluminium plate on top of the stock holders wouldn't look right. I think parts of the holders would be exposed in a not so nice way. But I think it would be trivial for @GrenadierUSA to make a top plate that work with the stock holders for purely aesthetic reasons.

I think I prefer the updated holders, I like to use my 20oz yeti cup and it is not compatible with the stock holders. The 3d print is very hard to see in reality. I used the 3d printed overlay "fingers" that someone designed but this looks so much cleaner and it's just as functional.

I would hope they’d be able to build one to work with the OEM holders but with most aftermarket suppliers once they commit to a design they are reluctant to change or accommodate variations as they have already established their production processes. Fingers crossed but I doubt they’d offer another version or be open to any custom variations.
